More like Republicans holding a vote to cry some more.
Its been a long time coming, but the policy Dont Ask Dont Tell - that prevented gay men and women from serving in the military openly - was finally abolished two hours ago.
This is a big step the country has taken for the LGBT community. It gave me hope when it was repealed last year. Hope that this place we all share is willing to change for the better. Theres still ways to go, but this is great news. I was waiting till 12 to congratulate a couple of my friends and post this. People in the east coast have 30 minutes still, but its coming :-)
Congratulations! Civil your rights will be.
