wanna talk a little bit about the possibilities of a “designer” now im an atheist, so this is only a “which of these makes more sense” kinda thing.

Earlier today i got picked on today to answer which one seems more believable, because i was the only non-believer in the crowd (which happens alot). Im very familiar with the ancient astronaut theory, i find it very fascinating, intellectually rich theory, and just a fucking awesome possibility. now am i 100% sold on it? NO. me being a true skeptic i live by that go to phrase “question everything” if youre not to acquainted with this theory you should look it up, its really interesting, in short its the theory that highly evolved aliens (possibly through a Darwinian form of evolution) came to earth during our very early stages of evolution, were talking cavemen stages, and maybe gave us boost genetically, structurally, geographically, they pretty much shaped us and earth into what we our today - their perfect specimen.

The person that asked me this question is a super christian, so they thought that these two theory are completely, black & white, up & down opposites… well i kinda broke it to them that “im sorry, but its not. your god could be an alien, and you better prepare yourself for that possibility” the primary question was which one then is more believable if theyre almost the same? EASY, the ancient astronaut theory. why? simply put, because this concept actually took some thinking & research, and believe it or not theres actually alot that could back it up.

Creationism is the theory that god snapped his fingers and everything came to be. a magic trick. and that factor is why creationism loses any credibility with me, things dont just come to be. But when you tell me that maybe highly evolved beings came to earth and tweaked our genetics to speed up or advance our evolutionary process, then also helped us build structures (giza pyramids, stonehenge, etc) that we still cant explain today, or with all of our technology today build those things. if you came to me with that then yes, now we can have an intellectual discussion about a possible “creator” when your semi-crazy theory actually coincides with our history and our evolutionary process, then yes now we can actually start thinking critically about maybe such a concept.
